Growth Audit Framework
The diagnostic before the engagement. Before we build a system, we analyze what’s there — what works, what doesn’t and where the biggest lever is. The Growth Audit is the process every Emporiant project begins with.

WHY
Why we start with diagnosis, not solutions
Most agencies sell solutions before they understand the problem. “You need Meta Ads.” “You need a new website.” “You need SEO.” Maybe. But how does the agency know that without knowing your business?
The result: solutions that miss the problem. A business invests in ads when the real issue is a landing page that doesn’t convert. Or in SEO when the website has no tracking and nobody knows what the existing traffic actually does. Or in content produced into a void because no distribution strategy exists.
The Growth Audit exists to prevent these misdecisions. It answers one question before anything else begins: where does your business stand — and where is the biggest lever?
No assumptions. No pre-packaged solutions. An honest analysis that stands on its own — regardless of whether you work with us afterward.
THE FIVE DIMENSIONS
What the Growth Audit examines
The Growth Audit evaluates five dimensions that together determine whether a business can grow systematically — or whether specific weaknesses are blocking everything else.
DIMENSION 1
Positioning
The question: Is it clear what you offer, for whom and why you?
We assess whether your positioning is sharp enough to work in ads, on landing pages and in content. Not as a branding exercise — as an operational foundation. Can a potential customer understand in five seconds what you offer and why they should contact you? If the answer is unclear, no system will compensate.
What we analyze: Clarity of the offer on the website. Differentiation from competitors. Target audience definition. Language and tone. Price-value communication.
DIMENSION 2
Distribution
The question: Do the right people find you when they search?
We assess current online visibility — organic and paid. Which search terms do you rank for? Which should you rank for but don’t? Are you running ads? If so, on which keywords, with what setup, with what results? What does your Google Business Profile look like? How many reviews do you have, and how current are they?
What we analyze: Google rankings for relevant keywords. Google Business Profile condition. Existing ad campaigns (Meta, Google). Organic visibility vs. competitors. Social media presence and relevance.
DIMENSION 3
Conversion Infrastructure
The question: Does anything happen when someone visits — or do they disappear?
We assess what happens when someone lands on your website or landing page. Is there a clear call to action? Does the site work on mobile? How fast does it load? Is there tracking that shows where visitors come from and what they do? Most businesses invest in traffic and have no idea what happens with that traffic after it arrives.
What we analyze: Website structure and user journey. Landing pages (do they even exist?). Calls to action and forms. Load speed and Core Web Vitals. Mobile experience. Tracking setup (Pixel, GTM, Conversion API).
DIMENSION 4
Optimization Loop
The question: Do you have fuel — or are you running on empty?
We assess what content exists and whether it’s usable within a system. Is there video? Are there graphics that work in ads? Are there texts optimized for SEO? Or does the content consist of occasional social posts nobody sees and website copy unchanged for three years?
What we analyze: Existing content assets (video, graphics, copy). Content quality and usability in ads. Blog and SEO content. Social media content and frequency. Content gaps compared to competitors.
DIMENSION 5
Data and Decisions
The question: Do you know what works — or are you guessing?
We assess whether the business can make data-based decisions. Is there analytics? Is it set up correctly? Does anyone know how many inquiries come in per month and from where? Is there reporting — and does it measure what matters (inquiries, cost per inquiry) or what’s irrelevant (impressions, likes)? Without data, every optimization is guessing.
What we analyze: Google Analytics setup and data quality. Conversion tracking (does it exist?). Existing reporting and KPIs. Historical performance data. Ability to make data-driven decisions.
THE RESULT
What you get after the Growth Audit
The result isn’t a generic report with 40 pages of theory. It’s a document you can make decisions with.
Current state assessment. Where does your business stand in each of the five dimensions? What works, what’s missing, what’s blocking growth?
Lever analysis. Which dimension has the biggest impact if improved? Not everything at once — the one lever that moves the most.
Concrete recommendations. What should happen first? Not as a wish list, but as prioritized steps — what first, what next, what can wait.
Entry recommendation. Which tier of the Growth Operating System™ is the right start — Visibility, Acquisition or Scale? Or is a different first step more appropriate — website rebuild, tracking setup, content production?
Honest assessment. If after the audit we believe a system isn’t the right step for your business right now — because the budget isn’t sufficient, the fundamentals are missing or a different approach makes more sense — we say so. No upselling. A recommendation that stands on its own.
THE PROCESS
How the Growth Audit works
Step 1 — Diagnostic call (30 minutes)
We talk about your business. Not about marketing tools or campaign tactics. About your business. Who are your customers? How do you win them today? What works, what doesn’t? What do you want to achieve? This conversation is the foundation for everything that follows.
Step 2 — Analysis (5–7 business days)
We analyze the five dimensions — positioning, visibility, conversion infrastructure, content, data. Systematically, with tools and manual review. Your competitors are included. Your existing campaigns and analytics are evaluated where access is provided.
Step 3 — Results presentation (45 minutes)
You receive the audit document and a personal walkthrough with the founder. Each dimension is discussed. The levers are explained. The recommendations are reasoned. You can ask questions, challenge and drill deeper. At the end, you know where you stand and what the next step is.
WHO IT’S FOR
The Growth Audit is the right starting point if you:
Don’t know whether your current marketing is working — or whether it’s burning money without anyone noticing.
Already invest in marketing but can’t measure the results — because tracking is missing, reporting is unclear or nobody’s asking the right questions.
Want to grow but don’t know where the first lever is — ads, SEO, website, content, or something else entirely.
Want to switch agencies and first understand what the current one actually delivers and what it doesn’t.
Want honest advice before committing to a path — not a sales pitch that recommends the same thing regardless of your situation.
SELF-ASSESSMENT
Quick diagnostic: five questions to ask yourself
Before booking the full audit, these five questions give you an initial sense of where you stand:
1. If someone searches for your core service in your area, does your business appear on Google page one — paid or organic?
2. Do you know how many inquiries your website generated last month — and which channels they came from?
3. Does every ad campaign lead to a dedicated landing page — or to your homepage?
4. Could you tell a new hire exactly how your business acquires customers — as a documented process, not as “it depends”?
5. When you look at your marketing spend from the last six months, can you calculate the cost per acquired customer?
If you answered “no” to three or more of these, the Growth Audit will show you exactly where the gaps are and which one to close first.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the Growth Audit
What does the Growth Audit cost?
The diagnostic call is free. The complete Growth Audit — five dimensions, competitive analysis, audit document and results presentation — starts at €500. In the diagnostic call, we determine whether the full audit is worthwhile for you or whether the conversation alone provides the answers you need.
Do I have to work with Emporiant afterward?
No. The audit result belongs to you. You can implement internally, hire another provider or continue with us. Our recommendation stands on its own — it doesn’t lose value if you execute it elsewhere.
Do I need to prepare?
Minimally. Access to Google Analytics and existing ad accounts helps but isn’t required. We can conduct most of the analysis externally. What we need is an honest conversation about your business — that’s the most important foundation.
How is this different from a free website check?
A website check evaluates technical parameters — load time, mobile optimization, SEO basics. The Growth Audit evaluates five dimensions of your entire marketing system, not just the website. It doesn’t answer “Is your website okay?” It answers “Can your business grow systematically — and if not, why not?”
How long does it take?
From diagnostic call to finished audit document, typically seven to ten business days.
