For 60 years, Feinkost Mild has been a fixture in Graz’s Stubenberggasse. Now in its third generation under the Mild family, it’s a place that resists easy categorisation — part bar, part sandwich club, part cultural venue. The kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel at home.
Thomas Mild runs the business today. He was open, direct, and easy to work with from the very first conversation. What the business lacked wasn’t character — it had that in abundance. What it lacked was content that did justice to it.

The challenge
A bar that lives in the present tense
Feinkost Mild was in the middle of a website relaunch with their web designer Verena. The new homepage needed video. Their social media needed life. And like every small hospitality business, they had exactly zero days to dedicate to a production.
The requirement was straightforward: modern video content that captures the atmosphere of the bar, introduces the people behind it, and works both on Instagram and on a homepage — without shutting the place down to do it.
The real difficulty
A bar has soul. Soul is hard to film. Getting the warmth of a 60-year-old family business onto a screen in a few hours requires preparation that most people don’t see — a detailed shot list, a clear creative direction, and a team that knows how to move fast without making it feel rushed.
One full day of pre-production planning went into making the six-hour shoot possible.
The process
A Saturday. Fully planned.
Cameras rolled at 10:00. By 16:00, everything was wrapped. That doesn’t happen by accident.
Pre-production
A full day of preparation before the shoot: shot list, storyboard, creative direction, and a minute-by-minute schedule. Every setup was decided in advance so nothing had to be figured out on the day.
Production
Seven Instagram Reels capturing the bar’s atmosphere, the sandwiches, the beer selection, and the people. A YouTube business video giving Feinkost Mild a long-form presence. A website hero video — built specifically for the new homepage redesign.
Coordination
Direct collaboration with web designer Verena throughout the process. Every video was optimised for its placement on the new feinkostmild.at — not just produced and handed over, but integrated.
